Im going thru the engine right now, but the directions say that the carb is set right from the factory.

they give no base line for carb settings, and say only that the needles will need minor tweaking to run right.

this scares me.
do any of you guys know the settings for low and high needles, from all the way snug?

my tt.21 engine that came from the factory on my mgt were set terribly lean, so my break in procedure started off terrible for my mgt. I dont want that to happen on my 180$ picco .26 monster.

so as im going thru the engine to look for any burs or crud that should not be present in my engine, can any one tell me the settings for your wasp/picco/p3 .26?

i dont actually have a .26, but from the experience i had last week at my local track, they come REALLY rich from the factory... even after leaning for some performance after breakin, it was still rich enough to make you gag if you cought a whiff of the fumes when it started. . . id go ahead and start it and if it dies right away and spits out half a tank of fuel youre good lol... btw, make sure you take off your air filter and check ti for erosion... somehow a small epcie of this persons air filter tore off, made it rhought he engine and then proceeded to shoot through the exhaust pipe and hti me in the chest. . . i dont knwo fi there was any damage, btu ti started right up afterwards...

some one else on the ofna board said it also comes set verry ritch from the factory,

I feel a bit better now, im gona start it up and do break in procedures tomorrow. today the lock tite and silcione sealer are curing.

when I started up my mgt with the tt .21 engine, I thought it had a air leak some where, as the fuel tubing was verry long, and temps were hot! and it diddnt help when turning the needles ritcher 1/2 turn. I was checking all over for a air leak. only to find that the thunder tiger engie came about 2 full turns too lean on the high speed needle, and 1.5 full turns lean on the low speed needle, once I set the needles like that the engine ran real ritch and I finished break in for it. but I was verry disapointed in that, I was going crazy trying to find a air leak that was not there!

that is verry weird, im using the air filter and elbow that came with my mgt.

its one of the nicest ive seen. its got a nice outer foam and a big inner foam.

id probly pee my pants if the air filter got sucked down the carb!:o
