Ok here's the deal....it's around 50* outside and My truck stalled out twice and it would barely crank after it had stalled....I'd have to prime it and that sometimes would barely work. The Idle seems ok and My HS needle is at Factory settings.
Could it be the LS needle? I have a SportMaxx by the way.
Also is that ring on top of the engine really needed? Because well.....it's gone....flew off somewere.
Thanks a thousand!

it could be you ls neddle. If you are going through break in, go back to factory. Tune from their. I am not fimiliar with the sport max, does it have a mid neddle? if so both the mid and low could be turning when you adjust the low. As for the ring? what ring?
Steve
What do you mean it doesn't turn over well? you mean it is hard to pull the pull start? that means it's flooded likely.

Ok I was wondering what it's purpose was.
It turns over it just takes a bit to start not to long though.....I havn't took any real time to adjust it....I wanna wait till the weathers a bit more warm maybe around 70* then I'll take My time and tune it up real good.
Thanks you two.

All the 'black ring' or glow plug retainer does is just that retain the blue glow plug wire. Its not needed so dont worry about it. As Stebo mentioned try reseting the needles back to factory settings. about 4 turns from closed on the hsn and flush with the carb body on the lsn. The reason you were having problems re-starting the engine was probably due to a flame-out (when the engine all of a sudden stalls (at speed) and as an effect runs very lean for a few seconds which can make the engine very hot and threfore hard to re-start, Just let it cool for a few miniutes and you should be fine. Either that or youve flooded it.
