Antenna Wire

Can antenna wire be cut or do you just recommend that I tie it down on the inside of my car? My antenna wire is so long that I wrapped it around the antenna guide and tied it down with a wire tie, doesnt look to good.

Dont cut it. The antenna wire is tuned to provide optimal performance. Cutting it can cause problems. If you are having issues with it being to long, then try cutting off a spare piece of lexan and wraping it around the lexan. Just cut little holes in the lexan that will keep the antenna in place so that it does not touch its self.

I have a similar problem. I have a RX that got its antenna wire cut off near the base(about a inch sticking out). Can I resolder the two pieces. I was hoping to open up the Rx and resolder inside with a knot to prevent the solder from undoing if pulled.

If you have all the pieces resoldering it should be just fine. Or you can replace the wire entirely but make sure to cut it at the same length.
