the story is that the singles have the most punch, and the progressively higher numbers are smoother. i've been told to not run anything more than a double in a truck.

winds refer to the torque at different rpm's, for example, a single wind has low torque at low rpm's but good power at high rpm's, the more winds, the more torque at the bottom end, but the less power at the high end. please correct my if im wrong but i believe that is it right there.

 Now one question? Should I stay with a motor or motors that have 13 turns for my clod?Because I do would like to use a motor or motors that have an armature of a double and triple wind. :) "I DO WANT MADD SPEED FOR MY TRUCK! BECAUSE I WOULD LIKE TO RACE ON PAVEMENT WITH THE BIG BOYZ!!!!!!! SO HOLLA BACK AT YOUR BOY!!!!" :)
I'm gone like the wind!

if you want to race, stick with a double or single wind, for a big truck like the clodbuster, i would go with a double if you want good acceleration. if your crawling around, go with triples or quads.

  I have a question for you and I want to pick your brain for every thing you know about r/c monster truck racing because I have note book(log book) ready.I thought that the pro's use triples and quads? Now what about the turns of the motor or motors should I use?Could I use a 12 turn or 13 turn motor or motors with triple armature??

ok, on a motor you have turns and winds. turns are how many times that wire is wrapped around the armature, the fewer the turns the faster the motor is. winds refers to how many wires are wrapped around the armature, so a 14 turn triple has 3 wires wrapped around 14 times. pros use so many different motors its not even funny, most pros use a different motor for every track depending on its conditions. if its a long track with few turns, a single or double would be best because you dont have to come blasting out of a corner all the time, if your on a tight short track a triple or quad would be better so you could accelerate out of the corner faster. if your not seriously racing, or cannot afford a selection of motors, just stick with a double. most manufacturers make many different combinations of motors so you have a good chance to find what you want.
