Okay I did a search on this site and heard something about american made cars like the Losi XXX-S and the TC3 not being able to fit on the Hudy Ultimate Set-up System with out drilling out the axle holes on the gauges.
The Hudy website says that it is universal and will work with all 10th scale nitro/electric touring cars.

Does anyone have experiance with this? I dont want to pay $$$ for something that I have to mod just to work right with my XXX-S....

i have the universal set from hudy. the holes in the plexiglass for the axles were too small for my tc3. all i had to do is open them up a little. i used a small round file and stuck it in the hole and spun the plexiglass a couple of times, then turned it around and did the same thing. it only takes a very little of filing to work.
i do not know how big the xxxs axles are compared to the tc3

I bought the same Utilimate Hudy for my MTX-3 and did not have any problems with the 1/10 scale Setup kit. I did not have to modify the kit any. The same rims fit on almost all touring cars and it should be a standard. You should not need to modifiy the setup stands.

The MTX-3 uses 3mm Metric axles and the Hudy was made for 3mm axles. The American-made cars (XXX-S, TC3 and NTC3) use Standard axles (4-40?) which is based on a 1/8" shaft, which means they are 3.18mm in diameter so they don't quite fit the Hudy system without mods.

The problem with modifying them this way is that when you use these for cars that use Metric axles you are introducing a bit of slop into the system that can potentially cause some errors in your setup. Also, if you open the holes off-center the car will always have some built-in error in the settings. For the average Joe, this may not matter but I know people for which this is unacceptable.

Thanks for the insight I did not know this and learned something new.

Drilling out the axle holes will not create "off center" readings with the metric axles. The camber adjustments will still be accurate. Remember that you will only drill out just enough for the TC3 axles to fit snuggly.

I have a TC3, NTC3, Schumacher and Yokomo GT4 and have not had any problems yet.

A trick I use to make the Hudy appliances more legible is to rub a Sharpie (or any marker) on the etched side of the plates and then wipe off the excess with a cloth slightly moistened with isopropyl alcohol. This colors the markings and makes them very easy to read.

Arecee I used a Halloween water based face paint to color mine then wiped off the excess with a dry paper towel.

Just thought I would add this other tip.

I did have to enlarge the holes for mt TC3's, my Yok still seems fine it it though...

I plan to paint or tape the back enges of the blocks. The light tends to refract through the plexiglass and it's hard to see the lines. Most times I just put my hand in the back to block the light. anyone follow me???
