Hey everyone... I have a E-Stampede, and 2 weeks ago I was messing around with a friend and he has a Duratrax nitro mt, and we were doin the usual bashing... I looked away to sneeze, oops! WAM! my truck nailed a tree in my yard and snapped the chassis like a twig, and I was thinking what i could do now.......

dun dun dun.... flash foward a few days...

Got some 3mm thick aluminum, and started thinking about a designthat would be wide enough to mount everything nicely... I ended up extending the chassis by a total of an inch.

dun dun dun.... Yesterday, i got back from vacation in Colorado (it kicked) and my dad and I went to Lowe's and got some bolts for the servo and chassis braces. I also decided to make my own front (and rear, maybe) chassis braces...

So far, i have the front end (but not the chassis brace) mounted, because I am still building it. The servo is also mounted!

BTW, I am only 13 and I am building stuff and all... I will hopefully have pics soon...
 :D

I think it's really cool that you're making your own chassis, even more so because you're 13! As much abuse as I've put my E-Pede through, I'm amazed that I have yet to break the chassis, especially where it mounts to the rear. I've often thought of making an aluminum chassis. It would be pretty straight forward other than coming up with a tray for battery mounting, though I have a few ideas for that, including a way to run dual packs for longer run times.

Do you have any pictures of yours so far? If so, I'd love to see them!
