This week I saw something on Discovery about Jetcars, setting landspeed records. One of the cars, the Thrust II, went tru the sound barrier!! Maybe a RC model of the car could set a new RC record:)

it would probably be possible, but also expensive.

I have thought about putting rocket engines on my car, but once they are done propelling the car, a explosion goes out the other end of the rocket, wich would burn the car.

Just for shhh and giggles I turned a 12L into a rocket car once. Made a wedge body from lexan and made a mount for various size rocket motors. Just had a steering servo and a reciever and pack onboard. It was crazy light and difficult to control to say the least. Not sure how fast it went, but most runs ended in a white blur of a 12L spinning and flipping off the road.
