hey. i got some questions about that new .27... anyone run one of those things yet?? hows the performance? and does anyone know if it will work with the stock savage .25 exhaust syster (header, pipe, etc) and the stock savage flywheel/clutch assembly?? and if not any suggestions on what kind of muffler i should get?? thanks!

I have been wondering the same thing. But i plan to put the sirio .27 in a tmaxx, with the .21 conversion.

aye spy, where did you get that .18? how much did you pay for it and what are you doing to start that thing? also did you have to do any mods to get it to fit and work right?(didn't feel the need to make a new thread about this whole thing)

first off kyle, not just 10 ports, but 11!!! and sirio boasts that it puts out 3.1 hp at 39000 rpm!!! haha that thing would whoop the piss out of my lawnmower!!:D :D
hey punk....
the .18 was a really new product when i got it about a year ago when i got it so it ran me 189 at my LHS, and the pipe for it (which i STRONGLY suggest gettin) ran me i think 20 bucks. and let me tell you its worth every last penny! and about the mods.. cake!! the hardet thing to do was get the freakin flywheel off my trx! :) the ONLY real modifying you have to do is to the linkages, but sirio (when i got it) included a step by step guide on how to throw them all together in no time at all! i really recommend you upgrade your maxx with that mill! its amazing. the whole job took me about 2 hours, it would probably take less time for someone who isn't so ****!! and the stock e-z start bolts right on with no mods! i'd get the pullstart if i was you though, cuz i've had to replace a few gears in my e-z start 3 times now i think? plus you'll drop some weight w/o it!

here is something to save up for...a .18 now(what about the dynamite pipe? or stick with the sirro?) and then a .21 conversion and the .27 later! yes...maxx will soon be maxxed!...btw, how does that sirro run? i know it's powerful, but is it a b**** to start/tune? have any probs with it? should i use the stock pinion/clutch bell?

well i babied my .18 for about a half a gallon of fuel, so it runs like a dream! i've never had one problem with it. just break it in properly and take your time. everytime i try to start it it fires right up with less of a hassle then i've ever had with any nitro engine! that engine ROCKS!!!!!
about the pipe, i'd personally say stick with the sirio.. it was designed specially for that engine so its gonna be the best, ya know?
and yeah, use all the stock flywheel/clutch stuff from the t-maxx, unless you wanna spend some extra cash to upgrade of course, and a new engine definately gives you a good excuse to upgrade!!:D trust me that mill is worth it. just baby it cuz its an expensive little bastard! :p good luck maxxin out your maxx!

sounds like a plan...do you know who sells that engine and pipe? and do you know who sells a good clutch bell assembly? i plan on getting a lower tooth for a little more tourque

first of all, don't worry about more torque! you'll seriously have enough of it, trust me :D but if you like constantly flipping your truck every time you mash the throttle go for it:p theres a site with the engine real cheap.. i'll brb, i'll find it real quick.. i'm not sure if they got the pipe though..

one more thing punk, i recommend using the trinity break in fuel too... thats what i did with mine (some people don't recommend it) and i've run about 5-6 gallons of fuel through that crazy little thing and if i've lost any compression or any performance stats at all i haven't noticed! it rips like it was brand new

that engine comes with a 1'4" drill bit for the ehaust...do you think i should go ahead and drill the exhaust when i get it or wait and see if i want it?
spy5870
01-28-2004, 11:52 PM
don't drill the exhaust.. it makes it run like crap. i did that with mine and broke it in like that and you don't see the massive power of that thing unless you get the pipe for it

i would have to agree with that. here is my 5 year old with his sirio maxx which is running the stock gearing.

hey strechm...
how much did you get that mill for?? i got raped at an insanely pricey $389.99:eek: now tell me one thing, IS IT WORTH IT??!
and also, what kind of flywheel/manifold/pipe do you got on your .27?? thanks!

You guys should run the Dynamite Mach.26. I have it and its SWEET. Awesome power and speed. Its more like overkill!
spy5870
01-31-2004, 03:56 PM
i heard that mach .26 is insane! got any vids??? whats your top speed?? i already ordered my 11 port .27 so theres no turning back now  i hope its worth it... but i got faith in sirio products. i run the .18 in my t-maxx and it RIPS!!! even the .18 is overkill (and i'm a big fan of overkill!) so i can't wait to see what a mill with a +.09 ci and +3 ports will do to my savage, which is only a little bigger and actully lighter then my tricked out maxx :D

the mach, just like the xtm 247's, are low reving high torque engines. dynamite says the top rpm is 33,000. therefore with the most extreme gearing i can find in 32 pitch are 64 spur and 23 CB. that makes the top speed with stock tires 44.5 MPH. with a sirio maxx and a 22 tooth CB and stock spur, your top speed is over 45MPH. if you are looking for speed the mach should not be on your list.

thanks for the advice, cuz i'm definately looking for speed... but not ONLY speed i want torque too. i'm impossible to please :D thats why i went for the .27..... 3.1 hp at 39.000 rpm seems like the best of both worlds.. except for the price... i've been eating mustard sandwiches for the last couple of days because of the price of all the crap i just got for my savage LOL :D
