Lite Stick:
Absolutely yes, you should get a Lite Stick. There is no better indoor trainer. It is very easy to build (one evening will do it) as well as very easy to fly. I recently taught my fiance's 12 year old little brother to fly using a Lite Stick. He had absolutely no RC flight experience and Solo'd on his 2nd flight. I took it up for him on a trainer box the first time, handed control off to him and he flew around 4 or 5 minutes and then landed. The next flight he took off and was fine. He had a few "Dumb Thumb" moments, but I think he learned those from me!
Good Luck, and be sure to read Bob Wilder's article from the November issue of RC Microflight on ways to make the Lite Stick even better.

Great, we need some more young guys around here. Lite Stick's work good for those 13 year old budgets too!
Good Luck,

I am also twelve (13 soon as well) and got into modelling 4 years ago. If I was going to recommend an easy slow going plane to you it would be the bleriot II. They say It flies at 4 mph.

Buddly / Lite Stick:
Good advice also Buddley. I've seen a few Bleriot's fly and they are great. 4 MPH is about correct, gives you plenty of time to think and level out in between turns.

Lite_stick,
I also am 13 and have been in R/C airplanes for about 4 years now. If you would like to get into indoor R/C, i would highly recomend the kolibri. The kolibri is a simply smaller version of the stubenfliege. The stubenfliege is available in an ARF form so it cuts building time drasticly. If your like me, then you would get it in kit form and save about $30. However, the stubenfliege is grossly over-priced at about $95 for just some carbon rod and some mylar. it would be cheeper to get everyting seperate and build it. To do this, it will cost about $50. The kolibri as well as the stububenfliege are excellent choices for indoor planes due to its slow speed at 2.5 meters a second.
Happy landings - Mitch

Yes, I do also agree with the kolibri. Plus with the right setup you can fly it until you get dizzy from the prop spinning.
