HIHIHI...My 7th grade teacher had recently e-mail me and told me that 3years ago he had found a RC10 in a guys trash can...He finaly found out that i was into rc...So he asked me to come down to my old shool so i did boy was that thing totaled. It was a gold tub style but it had a black tub. It even had a motor it was a Team Losi BIG ED don't know how many turns. There was even a battery pack left in it. The wheels were still pretty new. They clearly said Team Associated on the wheels. The rims were white ones in the front and red ones in the back. So i fixed it a little and it had a broked linkage so I didn't bother fixing it... But my question is do you think it's worth buying it off of him. Ohh yeah it has Gold shocks. The car is very clean....Cause I cleaned it up. I also redone the shocks... So if you guys think it worth buying it off of him please reply with a price otherwise talk anything about the rc10!!!

The other car the teacher has is a Kyosho Ultima Turbo used for his students. He personally owns a Cen buggy he bought around December.

Not to steal the thread, but what model was the orange tub chassis an option for? I have an RC10 buggy that came with the black chassis but I also have a flouresent orange chassis for it. Any one know about the time it came out, it was a long time ago when i got it and I was a kid and can't remember. Thanks

Price would depend on how much of the car is original and how much work would be involved in getting it workable. Price could start at the low side of $40 to as much as $150 + for a mint condition RC10. I've owned all lines of the RC10 car from the original up to the B4 (sold the Graphite 10, World car and B3). Got one RC10 back into it's original layout, knobby tires and mechanical speed control.

The original RC10 came with short front suspension arms, tranny was 6 gears, tires were 1.5 front white rims (screw together halves) fiberglass shock towers) 1983
The Team car was introduced in 1988 after the graphite RC10 which had wide arms, anodizied shocks and optional chassis in flurescent orange, green, pink and red, change the shock tower to wider layout and added additional mounting holes. The World Cars (Stealth) came out in 1990 with the additonal of the stealth tranny (2.25 later changed to 2.40) parts were changed from a white nylon to a black nylon material around 1990 or so.

If you are going to but this rc, you need to either make it a runner for play/bashing or rebuild it to stock as a collector item.
If you rebuild to collector you nee to get the MSC and old linkage parts, plus the old steering servo...some of this stuff can be found on e-bay or collector sites. It sounds like you have an older gt that has been hodgepodged over the years. good luck

The car has white rims in the front with associated tires in the back it has red wheels guess painted and associated tires. The car does have a fiberglass shock tower. White suspension arm gold shock alumminum ones too. BUT THE CHASSIS is black???

I have an Original RC10 Buggy in fairly good condition, all origianl white nylon parts. I paid $50, I highly doubt I would pay more thasn $50-60 for that car. Old RC's unlike Old Baseball cards, depreciate in value most times. I se very few used RCs keeping any decent value. Your lucky to get 50-60% of your original purchase price if the item is LIGHTLY used, that number gets even larger the more heavily used a vehicle is.

Mine was built from scratch and never been run outside, just around workshop floor. I had a lot of parts some still in original package from when I'd go to get replacement parts thinking I was out of it only to find I had them already things like tranny gears, shock towers, suspensions arms, transmission case, kingpins. with original kit tires never used for racing. I was able to get other parts from hobby stores that were closing or getting rid of old stuff or online.
Radio is a Futaba 2nL attack G plug receiver and servo.
