Does anyone know what BL system would work good with a TXT-1? Low speed ,high torque and extremly smooth low throttle control? Does such a system exist?

I have heard mixed results with the Novak HV-Maxx setup.
It's meant to go fast, but supposedly it does work well in the txt-1.
I've got mine on order.
I can post back with my results in like 2 weeks if you're not in a hurry.

i am going to put in a Hacker B50 8L with Shulze 12.97 controller on 12 cells next week. will let you know how it goes.

That would be nice...although, I'm not looking for a bL set-up to make the TXT fast...but I'd like to get rid of the all the maintanance brushed systems comes with...

try dual SS5800 on the TXT since the TXT takes dual 540 that can work.

even tho you dont want to go with something really fast I would still go with lots of power. The txt is a heavy truck and needs a lot of power for climbing hills and stopping and stuff. I would suggest a hacker system or something with around 10-14 cells. I had used to have BL in my txt and it fried. But im pretty happy with my brushed set up now anyway.

Ok...I'll check that out...

I ran a C50 in my TXT on 14 cells (stock gearing) and was a bit to much power for the truck, 6 cells was more managable. Brushless and the TXT just does not mix. I've since changed it back to brushed.
Don't run the SS5800 in a TXT, I can go out into long drawn out reasons why but save yourself the cash and frustration that many others have delt with. The HV system was designed to better handle the heft of larger trucks.
I would try a Lehner 5300 (less torque, more RPM) or 4200 (more torque, less RPM) and a good controller. That would be great for what you need on 12 cells and geared correctly.
You could also throw that setup into any 1/10 scale application and have it be UBER fast! :D

I`ve been running a lehner 4200/schulze 12.97 on 12 cells for some time, and it is fast, but it`s not extremely smooth on low throttle and the reverse isn`t too precise.
I`ll put a battery on charge and see how it works on 6 cells..
What about using the two stock cans on more than 6 cells? That way you will get some more power, and you won`t have to worry about maintanance for a very long time.

I think that I heard that the stockers will smoke quite fast at 12 cells...and I don't really feel like taking apart all my stick packs...(I have seven)...

There is one at the board here who runs the stockers at 12 cells on a super rooster I believe.. The titans from the e-maxx could work too although they don`t look too good
To run on 14.4v you could make an adapter to your batteries to connect them in series?
btw: The basic 4200/12.97 was a bit more controllable on low throttle with 6 cells than on 12..

Ok...
I have the Y-harness, it came with my starter box I use with my ST...
Mabey 14,4 volts and the motors wired in series would work, that way each motor would get 7,2v each...
One problem I'm having is that I'm using the LRP F1 Pro...I don't really wan't to throw a 100 USD ESc in the trash and get another one just to try... :(

will post results over the weekend probably about my setup (schulze 12.97 and Hacker B50 8L).
for now here are some setup pics, and my chassis design.
