It looks like Schulze has stopped making the big 32.170 controller. Instead they have made the 40.160WK ! For use with 10-40 cells at 160 amps :)........
Makes me REALLY wanna build a BIG 1/5 car. With the use of up to 40 cells at high amps the car would be INSANE :) !

Hmmm....this has really giving me something to think about !

NIC, what about motor?

damn, that's a big controller..
miha, what you mean about motor? like what motor would you use w/ 40 cells?

Yes, which motor to use.

Go for something "usual" as Lehner 2250 or even 2280 or go Plettenberg new high torque motor or the big outrunner from Flyware with monster torque?

This is just some early thoughts right now. The controller however is a better choise then the old 32.170 because it can handle more voltage.
The motor would most likely be the 2280 series. The wind I donīt know now. It depends on the gearratio of the car and how "neatly" I can mount all the batteries. It would most likely not be 40 cells but maybe 36 to have some margin to the 40 cell limit.
Then how to mount 36 cells ? 2 stickpacks of 18 cells along the each side. Six 6 cells in stickpacks with a BUNCH of wires all over the place !? I must keep the "wires" short for the health of the esc and my own ;).
Maybe I can use the excisting fueltank as a water reservoar for the esc-cooling. Lots of questions, no answers yet as I havenīt given it enough thoughts.
I must see the car first in real life and then start planing everything.
It would be my dream project anyway. But alot of time must go into this project so you donīt mess it up. It could be unnecessarily expensive, or worst case; UNDERPOWERED :D ;).

NIC, what 1/5 are you talking about using?
someone makes a 1/5 electric car.. I think it's BK/Lehner...

DualBL: There`s only ONE, ONE, ONE and only ONE 1/5 car thatīs is worthy of electric power and itīs NOT FG, Lautenbacher, HARM, or RS-5 EVO.

Itīs the 4wd MCD with Subaru body (offcoarse) :) ! For the power I would have put in a 1/5 car it would NEED 4wd !! Not thoose crapy 2wd cars that would have been spinning their two wheels like CRAZY !!! They would be totally uncontrollable with too much power.

Buy the MCD, take out that heavy, low-reving, lame sounding, low-power, crapy gasoline Zenoah-engine  and throw it as far away you possibly can, and then start building from there :D !

Originally the FG car was based on a 30 cell GP3300 and Schulze Mcc 1010 /Plettenberg HP 355-30/6 standard brush version.
YOu can believe that car was running fast.:D

Unfortunately the costs were much too high for the average user.
That's because we built the small Speed 700 version.:o
The next weeks we're planning to install some BL prototypes especially developed for the use in a car.

If you have tried some BL stuff on your own please drop me a mail to give any comment on that equipment

@ NIC

great to hear that youīre planning a bigscale too, look in your e mail, there are the latest dates about mine.
Maybe you should overthink the power schemata, as the weight really increases greatly, 40 cells are togehter with the rest of the electrics around 4 kg !!! (then the car on top (wich should easily be around 8-10 kg) makes a very high weight, and the power to weight ratio isnīt that good.
(I will send you more infos on my 4wd as the carbon plates are there for the chassis (the front and aft end is already done, the final parts are in the production)

@ wimmerma

if you wanna have some datas, please send me a mail, i will try to send as much info data as i can, my 4th bigscale bl project has begun (base: MCD 4wd, but then totally coustom detailed and constucted, the weight (full driveable) should be around 7 kg (with 18 cells)
the others:
6th Buggy with LMT 2240 series
5th coustom built (basic parts from FG) vyper GT (still "only" on brushed motors)
and the F1 Ferrari racer (totally coustom built, 12 cell BL system, very low weight, only around 5 kg !!

see ya (the new FG would be a real good basement for me to test some new ideas (but still that low price is too much for me, as the 4wd 5th isnīt the only Car Iīm building.)
But the basic datas looks fine on the FG Electric Car !! (i WILL have one, maybe next Year, then it will be a Monster Truck, but off course BL !! (the plans are right in the development . . . .
