Hey guys, Last night my sister came over and she brought me a T-Maxx that her friends Boyfriend gave to her so she could give it to me and I dont know anything about this truck, its not my first Nitro RC so im not worried about the engine, What I am concerned about is that when I spin the spur gear, the wheels do not turn, Is this Normal? Does it have a second clutch inside the Transmission or is there something broke, I know its not the differentials because they work fine. I do Not have any gas yet so I cant run it and find out about the transmission. Any help would be appreciated !
Thanks,
Chris

Yes that is normal, You can spin the Spur gear freely. The Forward/Reverse Tranny will kick in when you reach a certain amount of RPMs. This is done to protect the gears when you switch from Forward to Reverse.

OK, Thanks. Another question, when I flip the reverse switch, why does the servo start glitching and moving all over ? Bad servo ? ALSO, anything I should check out before I run it, whats the most common problem with a T-Maxx ?

Servo glitching on stock servos is also normal on the steering Servo. If you have a little pressure on the front tires is will make a noise. Lift the front end and turn the wheel back and forth a few times the Servo noise goes away.
The TMaxx is a good Truck and I own 2 of them both old and new. All R/Cs have a problem of screws coming loose over time so I would suggest you go over the Truck and snug down all the screws before you run it. DO Not over tighten them just turn them in with a little pressure.
Which TMaxx do you have? The TRX 2.5 or the older TRX 1.5.

Its got the Pro .15, It looks as if its only been run Once, this thing is in Mint condition. I used to have a HPI Nitro Rush and I currently race Oval cars with the Thunder Racing crew and Mike Boylan.
