I just got a set of those new 40 series spinners and some velocity rims and road rage tires for my E-maxx and there sweet! They work better than I expected them to. I was just wonder if anyone else has them yet and if so I'd love to see the pics, I'll try and get pics of mine once I get my new Escalade body and then try to modify the stickers to look like my Denali since no one makes a Denali body so far. Think its a half normal idea? Thanks!

I'll see if I can find them! I got my spinners on and have some pics but I have to figure out how to post them on this site first? I have them on my E-maxx which I made a custom Denali body for it since no one makes them and it matches my real Denali this way! :D

Your Savage is nice, I see you have the other 40 series rims there pretty nice with the spinners. I'd like to see a video too, but I don't know how to do video on the internet so its gonna have to come from someone else I guess.

i'd rather paint the velocity rims black and then put the spinners on there. that way, it looks like there is no rim behind the one thats spinning. or you could paint a dish rim black and put the spinners on there. IMO, it would look more like the rim was spinning by itself when teh truck was stopped, instead of a tack on hubcap.

I wouldnt understand why though. To be honest, i really, REALLY dont go for the whole pimp ting. Least of all on RC. Im english after all, we dont have pimps here, well, not that id associate with. Even so, i dont see the point of them, and think they should be uninvented.
This is an opinion, im just voicing that theyre not my cup of tea, however i admire the fact that you have them on your trucks.

Spinners? What a waste of time. Lets do fat pipe extensions on the exhaust too. I know, to each, their own. Definitely a street thing.
I do understand a lot of us have several sets of tire/wheel combos though.
Not trying to bash you guys-just a direction I wouldn't go in....

I was just asking if anyone else had them since my LHS can't keep them instock for long, so someones buyin them. I see some of your opinions but what I am doing is I have them on my rims that I use with roadrage tires, so it a little extra fun since I wouldn't be jumping or going off-road at all with that wheel-tire setup. I have them right now on my e-maxx and could also try them on my Savage or T-maxx so pretty much its just somethin different plus they don't cost that much so that helps. I like them pretty well since they the whole truck will pretty much match my real truck which is also a Denali on 24" spinners. The spinners aren't out yet for my Denali so right now its only got 24"s. Hopefully I cleared that up a little bit and I'd still like to see atleast some else in the world thats got the 40series spinners. ;)

I saw a old mercedes the other day (not sure what year, but boxy shape so early 90's im guessing) with hub caps and spinners. Looked not not cool at all. Are they meant to do anything except add bling factor?

Well there just for looks if thats what you mean, and the cap type spinners for real cars are just plain stupid. I have been thinking of other things that can be done with them like painting the wheel black and then weighing the spinner down on one side so it just makes your truck look like the rims aren't spinning while your actually moving. Kinda a ghost riding affect which you get a little anyway when you start moving since they won't spin until you actually drive more than 20 or so feet. I still don't understand why no one on this whole has them but us 2!
when my LST gets here...I plan on having a "ONROAD" bling set-up...Body and wheels for show......and then of coarse the offroad gear....nothing wrong with having fun with your truck and then showing it off too.

that right it got to look good seting there :D
Sorry guys but I think a majority of MT owners actually like getting their truck dirty and could care less about the SOCAL street look. I saw an Escalade with spinners and didn't stop laughing for 5 minutes. But I guess that if you can afford a $50,000 truck then you can afford shiny stuff for your RC truck. By the way I drive a 96 Windstar with 205,000 miles on it, hub caps of course. :)

Spinners are just like aluminum rims, aluminum parts (Where it's for looks, not strength), etc. If we all really didn't care about "looks," we'd all have single colored black paint jobs (Henry Ford, Any color you want as long as it's black). I wouldn't mind using them if I bashed a lot, but since I'm more of a racer, those would be just extra weights.
And why are you bashing spinners. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it, and if you hate spinners, WHY EVEN COME IN HERE?!!?!
Pardon me for living, I'll just stay away from all threads that don't have a personal invitation. I guess I don't understand "bling" on a MT, why not buy a sedan or something so you can have that true fast and furious look. Since just affording to keep my RC's running is a challenge I just look at things that might improve performance not looks. Sorry I blew up, scribble.

I haven't been checkin this forum much, but I see theres been some talk about spinners atleast! :D I soon now have my real 24" spinners for the real Denali, so hopefully since its still kinda on topic I'll try and post some pics when there all installed. It will have my little E-maxx Denali with it so hopefully it will be pretty cool. Also anyone else with spinners on RC cars in the world could post some pics if there is anyone?

I don't have anything against spinners, and I don't want them. The thing I don't like is when people with certain cars put them on (By "certain" I mean something like a Geo Metro), and yes, I've seen that.

Heres a pic of my real spinners, I didn't get a pic yet with the E-maxx in it but atleast you can see what I copied my E-maxx after. :) Hopefully I'll get a pic of the E-maxx with the Denali soon. When I do it will get posted.
Yes things like Geo's and cavy's with spinners is just wrong I know what you mean.

I'm in uk, I love spinners, but only look good on a select few cars, Theres an X5 in my road with 22" spinners, theres a few Ranges Knocking about on 22" spinners. I've saw them on a BMW 330CI too, looked pimp
They now make 14" spinning wheel trims, One went passed me and a friend the other day and we laughed, and he got out his car and was giving it the mouth, my mate told him to shut up get in his car and go buy some real wheels :d

It's a good thing I retired before their popularity hit NY... My sole job was to write tickets and I'd have read the vehicle and traffic law, cover to cover, to find out what ticket I could give for spinners... They're are a news story waiting to happens...

why bash spinners? cause half the fun of this message board is giving people a hard time. but i'll say this: the guy that started this thread is the only person i can think of that has a legitimate reason to have spinners and a denali body on his mt. copying your real ride is cool, even if... nah, i'll let it go.

Thanks to most of you, I do understand that a pic of 24" spinners doesn't do much for them but you get the idea. I wish I could post a video of the truck coming to a stop with the spinners going while the E-maxx is doing the same! I will get a new pic soon of them together so hopefully it will return this thread back to one about RC's not real trucks. :p Thanks. :D

BigBad - How much did those wheels and spinners cost you? Do you live alone with FULL expenses or with your parents? I'm not bashin you, I just don't see anyway I could afford all those expenses with a family to support.

Here are some movies of spinners in action:
RAMTech-RC Spinners1 (http://www.ramtech-rc.com/RattlerSpinner.WMV)
Customer's Spinners2 (http://www.ramtech-rc.com/MOV00096.mpeg)
Alot of people now have spinners on their T-Maxx and Savages, they aren't that expensive, and they are fun to make people laugh about the bling-bling. For those "purists" in this hobby, you can take them off in seconds, and go bashing in the mud. That is what I do with my E-Maxx Gravedigger, ridin on da spinnas.

Those are really expensive and I like my Pro-line ones way better. Not really understanding why they cost so much! As for affording this stuff I am still young so I don't have my own house yet of course, so it does make it a little easier to pull off. I hustle for the bling bling, you know! :D  never mind
