I am Purchaseing a HPI Savage 25 RTR on Monday. What should I get as far as hop ups. This truck will be used as a basher more than anything.

i would get a tuned pipe and good airfilter and the S-25 will def run better:D

get Nova Race Pro Cooling Head so u can lean that sucker out and pull some more power

i would get a rechargeable setup for the truck! nimh rciever pack and a charger...and get 8 rechargeable batts for the controller
and get a high torque steering servo so u an throw them front tires around with ease! :cool:

I wouldn't put a Nova head on it right off. The stock head cools great, though the Nova does drop temps. One problem so many run into with using a killer head like the Nova is that they tend to lean the motor out too much, which isn't good for any engine, much less during break-in. It could be handy after break-in in a climate such as mine, where the summers are really hot and humid (Central Texas). If you do get one, be sure to account for temperature differences and don't try to run the engine too lean. The ~$25 it costs for a Duratrax temperature probe is a great investment regardless of which cooling head is used, but even more so with the Nova.

*drolling* man i cant wait to get mine!! BTW i noticed you only had 1 shock on that front tire. Unless i am blind and the other one is right behind it:rolleyes:

Good call kitty I have the duratrax temp gun already got it for my race truck (the one under the tire) good advice thoug I will look into it.
Casper, it does have two shocks on the front and rear, I guess the way the pic came out it is hideing behind the other one.

i mean two shocks for each wheel(meaning 8 total) unless i am going crazy i cant see the other shock on the front tire that is on the ground

na your not crazy there all there all eight of them just a funny camera angle, not a bad pic though from a camera phone.
