I was pondering the idea of upgrading the 2.5 after she dies and instead of going with a .18 I was thinking about a big block conversion. Do they make a package where you get the engine and the extended chassis and all the goods? Post a link if ya would.
Thanks all

i don't know about you, but i thought the 2.5 is overpowered as it is:confused:
if u want even more power though, i think u should get a fantom .18

I guess I like the looks of the extended chassis. That and it would make it more stable being longer.
But I don't want to get a big block just to say I have one and have the top speed not much more than the 2.5
Ya know
Thanks

My opinion is as follows. If your 2.5 dies "piston & sleeve wear out" then just buy the following items. and enjoy a fresh built engine along with more power in the same block! Or you could send it back to traxxas if your the original owner.
Trinity Piston & Sleeve T-Maxx 2.5 (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDRC1&P=7)
Trinity Connecting Rod T-Maxx 2.5 (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDRC2&P=7)
Trinity High Performance Crankshaft T-Maxx 2.5 (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDRC3&P=7)
Traxxas Ball Bearings TRX 2.5 (2) (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDFZ6&P=7)
Sure you might be able to get a new engine for the total cost of these items. but then you might end up stessing something else. with these components you will sit somewhere around 1.7hp as the stock 2.5 is 1.3hp.
All a big block is is a way for someone to say, hey look I have money and I spend it on this little engine. If you want power go 1/6th scale PERIOD otherwise be smart about it and get the best bang for the buck. and make sure that it's not the driver instead of the hardware failing.

No there is not a conversion that comes wiht the motor and everything.
You need to buy the XTM conversion adn buy a .21

Yeah man, its a lot of cash to UE to have a reliable .21 maxx. I would do as already stated and get one of the .18's or put sirio guts in the 2.5

Why is it that the ppl that want more power don't know how to drive and the ppl that know how to drive don't ask stupid questions like that ?

A friend of mine just put the big block kit by dynamite in his- comes with extended chassis, new cvds for all wheels and both diffs, aluminum frame rails and the mach .26 (same as coming in losi LST) Good kit, just doesn't come w/ better gears or bigger fuel tank. 75cc with .26-2.75 hp = 3.5-5 min. Also would suggest taller gear on cb- mach .26 only good for 30000rpm-great for torque, but now his maxx is slightly slower than my savage ss w/15t cb. Kit also comes with header and tuned pipe. dyn7403 is the dynamite number and it sells for 379 from horizon.

I found a place that has the sirio .18 for $169. That's probably about as cheap as you can get don't you think?
I'm thinking about ordering it soon?
Thanks for the advice
