what car/truck are you running?

I know stee spur gears hold up better but weigh more.

oh also if this helps. the gear itself was run damn near flat how this occured is beyond me. cause the engine is not loose. its the 3rd gear in about a month. luckily its not an exp. part 3.00 but its more the hassel of switching them out from the back of a truck on a beach sux. drop a screw or a tiny part part and POOF! bye bye. anyway sorry for the rant. any help would be appreciated.

check your slipper too see if it is too tight, and the gear mesh has a small amout of play all the way around the spur gear.

out on the beach you constantly have the tires spinning free and then gaining high traction. if the slipper is too tight the gear stripps, too loose and you melt it.

I have long since went to a steel gear since no matter what I did the .21 power would melt the spur.
