All finished, battery cycled and charged,cg set, controls set and responding- hmmm, no wind to speak of--why not, waiting ***** ?!
So out to the adjacent street intersection, no cars around, point into what slight breeze came by, throttle up and away we went-whirrrrrr!
Little J3 went like a tiny pylon racer!!Very responsive and agile!
Did several large circles, some figure 8s, dodged the occasional car(!), then a nice wheels landing and taxi back.
What a ball!! Lessons learned-get rudder on the right stick-left thumb is too lazy! I used light silicon (RC servo grease)grease on the motor gears-seemed to ease their running.
So, first baby step!!
Merry Christmas to all!!

Jim:

Congratulations! Now for the wall test! I put my little biplane into a very high window last week....my prop is still up there.

Glad to hear all is well, don't tear it up trying to do inverted passes under your clothesline before the 28th. http://www.rcmicroflight.com/ubb/smile.gif

See you then,

Jason

Jim:

Did we miss you Thursday, or was that just me. I saw a few new guys w/ Cub Sticks, were you one of them?

If not I have one this Thursday lined up in Denton, and then next Thursday night we'll fly in Fort Worth off Azle.

See you soon,

Jason
