After I bought my savage I haven't driven my old stampede because it is just to slow and boring. What can I do to it to make it more interesting? Right now the only thing that needs to be replaced is the motor, which on would you recommend? I am using the stock esc, and I want a motor with plenty of torque.

Go brushless or go home!;) Or you could get a 12-14 turn motor, a mod. esc, and a 7 cell 3300 pack! That'll make her move!

Since I put all of my money into my savage I wanted a motor that would work on the xl-1 speed control that came with it. I think it has a 17 turn limit.

turn it into a jump truck. The stampede is very lite and can get some good air underneath it.

get heavier shock springs and if you want get thicker shock oil to endure the landings. also you may want to lower the center of gravity. strap the battery on underneath the chassis, and cut down the body posts but drill out for the hole. that looks tight. if you do what i said send pics...:D

That is an idea I will look into but right now I am more interested in finding a motor with the most torque possible. I am not sure but the highest turn single motor would have the most torque right? I was looking at this one...

The easiest way to make your old Stampede interesting is to double your pleasure. By that I mean convert it to 4WD. Email me and I will send you some pictures of my aluminum tube-frame 4x4 stampede. It has twin 600's instaed of 540's or 550's and the chassis is longer than an e-maxx. Add to that an EVX and 14 cells, and it gets fun from there.

Man if you want torque get a Kyosho magnetic mayhem 550 motor.
