Well my savage engine has a problem after 2 gallons and it will prolly need to be sent back to HPI. So im decding that the S25 will become my secondary engine and get a new engine

I got no clue on what to get however i saw this and it looks sick

Picco P3 2.9hp .27cc what do you all think about that? also where the heck do you buy one of those or anyother engine..
I dont want a very finicky engine and i dont want it to be breaking and all that stuff just a strong running long lasting engine with more HP and torque than stock

I was looking for the same thing , too much power and you just flip and break stuff all the time.

so with that being said I settled with an XTM 24.7 pro .
great engine lot of power, 2 year warranty ,and verey easy to tune and hold a tune

I would second that, alot of people chose to go with the wasp27 and had problems with tuning and durability of the truck.

ya but i do like the idea of the truck flippin a$$ backwards and couldnt i gear it for more speed then still have good acceleration and silly fast top speed?

So can you give me some info on the 24/7;)

i went with the Ofna Picco 26 Outlaw (same as the Werks just with a purple head instead of blue. they're all made by Picco Engines and relabeled). i upgraded all drive cups and dogbones to HD, and rebuilt the front and rear diffs with the spider mod, but this was mainly because i want to strickly race it. the picco is so much better than the S-25!!!

I too decided on getting the Outlaw 26 motor. MASSIVE power!!! This motor will flip you onto your roof if you do not know how to throttle it's power. I can have my savage wheelie quite a long distance before I decide to make a complete touchdown and bring the front wheels back to Earth! :)

hmm hard decision..i have the money to get the engine and beef up some drive train components however i want this thing to pull mad wheelies and be alot faster than stock:D :D

so the XTM 24.7 PRO has 2.75hp is that alot better than the regular 24.7?

decisions decisions... im a basher but i plan to race the truck alittle and im also thinking of getting a stadium truck, gas of course;)

with the 24.7 pro you should be able to pull some nasty wheelies but you'll lose some top end unless you re-gear-s-25 pulls 38000 rpm's while the 24.7 only does 30000, but gives you way more grunt down low so you can run a higher gear. You would probably be alright with the 18t clutch bell that came with yer truck.

I have a picco 26 in mine with a THS pipe but the weathers been bad lately so i havent tested it in my savage. I had it in my ultra lx pro though and it was so powerful that the tires expanded huge and hit the body.

The Outlaw Picco 26 and the WERKS 26 are different engines. The Picco 26 is sent to WERKS where they do port mods.and then put their WERKS name on it.
