Does anyone know about this brushless system for Mini T ,X-Ray M-18 or other 1/18 scaled cars. I have read the advertisements and tried to find out if they are available but came up with nothing. Castle Creations was the website that would have the updates for it but seen nil so far. Anyone with info??

I personally run the Beta version and have been running it for quite some time. I run it on the XRay and love it. The car runs flawlessly. The system is excellent. I would recommend it to you hands down, and the customer relations is excellent. If you would like to post questions aout the system directly to Castle Creations, you can look at www.RCgroups.com under the castle creations thread. There Shawn or Brenda will e able to answer any specific questions. I would be glad to help you with any questions that you may have also.

BTW, how many cells can it handle and does it have BEC? I know the phoenix controllers are up to 20 cells and BEC work up to 10 cells.
I had been talking to Shawn at Castle Creations for quite some time prior to the developement of the Mamba. Razor had anounced the controller for sale as a combo w/ the micro-car motor. Since it wa still in developement I got to speak w/ Shawn alot about these cars and there future controller. he decided to let me test the beta...that's what I've been running.
The controller is excellent in it's eta form, I can't wait to see how much better it got for the production form :D . I have had no need to go over 8 cells w/ this 1/18th scale cars, although I elieve the max cell count is much higher. Speeds on 6 cells in my x ray are as fast as a 10t mod 1:10th scale car, so you can imagine what 8 cells is like, I broke a titanium rear axle on my RS4 due to an unbalanced wheel w/ 8 cells.
I would consider on 1/18th scale cars that 6-7 cells really be a limit unless you just plan to go straight. I have a friend who tried the same combo on his Xray w/ 11.1 lipos and he said it was simply uncontrollable:p....the car, the controller handles this voltage w/o breaking a sweat
Great controller, worth the wait, and customer relations...I believe is uneatable.
Let me know if I can help w/ anything,

Sure man,
I know I didn't specify, it's in the electric planes section, but you can find threads on the mamba or start your own to ask them a specific question.
