I just got my litestik. First plane I've even SEEN so I'm like...pea green. http://www.rcmicroflight.com/ubb/smile.gif Of the reccomended mods, the tape hindges are never explained. It may be the easiest thing ever but if you've never seen it...

Anyone want to detail it? Maybe pictures?

I agree that the instructions are not very clear for hinging. You need to separate the elevator and rudder from the stab and fin. leave a small gap about 1/16" or so and then tape the gap. make sure that there is equal movement in both directions of the for the rudder and elevator.

I tried to attach a picture above but it didn't work. I was able to post one in the photo section though. It is kinda huge but you can get the idea. I'm new to this digital photo game too!

Nope, neither made it... http://www.rcmicroflight.com/ubb/frown.gif

What prevents the tape from just pealing off when it's pulled the opposite direction?

when you tape one side, tape the other side on the exact same spot on the reverse side. with the 1/16in gap in between, the two peices of tape should stick together. this will prevent it from peeling off.

I sew all my hinges using fine thread. It is the easiest and fastest way for me.

The proper procedure was outlined in a recent issue of RC Micro Flight.

The resulting hinges are strong and very flexable. Also easy to repair or replace.
