i currently run a xxxs with gp3300 and a 12x1 trinity spee gems pro. my question is if i move to a novak bl system how much quicker can i expect it to be would it be noticeacble? Basically just want some info on what you guys would be the best setup. i wanna stick with novak or maybe hacker. Any help would be great thanks aloy guys.

You may not see much difference, depending on how good your 12X1 is running. If you have a good motor with good fresh brushes and fresh cut comm, then it's probably real close to the Novak. But still, the Novak can probably be geared a bit higher and have a bit more top end, and still have good punch.
I have never run 9 or 10 turns. I run offroad and always used 12 and 13s. The Novak is easily as fast as the best motors I have run even on their best day. It's probably the true equal of today's best 10-12 turn mods.
The best thing about the brushless is that it's consitent every run, and it can be run all day long without burning up. If the esc doesn't thermal, you can run pack after pack. :eek:

I used to run a 12t speedgem in my xxx-s and now run the novak 5800 and it is faster. When geared right it performs pretty much like a 10t. for racing i run a 6.86 final ratio(24/90) and for play i either use a 23 (7.16 final) or 22(7.49 final) pinion. I am very happy with my system :)
