For All The Novaks Burning Up In Triple Xxx T

I just got done emailng charlie about my systems and he found out why both my SS5800 models burnt up its because my gearing was too high. My gearing was stock just need to go down in pinion gear teeth. Justy a FYI for you folks out there running them in triple XXX-t models I remmeber some folks had theres go up in flames also. Just wanted to say great customer service from charlie (Novak in general) for replying. Charlie was busy and got back to to me about. Thanks novak.............

What's the "stock" gearing? XXTs don't come with a pinion.. must be a RTR?

What gear do they recomend... 18-20 tooth?

Hey, i own a xxx-t with a novak ss brushless setup in it. I've been running sportsman for my bashing runs. Im geared at 17/88 right now, going to drop down to 17/86 sometime soon, i'll see how that goes. Even when i run unlimited i really don't have that much of a problem with heat, i had a huge problem with heat when i ran normal brushed motors

if you go from 88t to 86t on the spur you are gearing up.
