will a Hacker C-50 fit in a regular traxxas tranny (bandit,rustler,stampede)???

It might, but the sheere and brutal power of these Motors will destroy every part of the trannys !!
(the c50 was designed for a heavy truck (around 4 kg or above) and it is heavy itself too (c50: L version: 313gr, XL version: 419 gr. this is way too heavy, and the outer diameter is bigger too: 43.2mm compared to a 36mm (35.8 to be exact) from a normal 540 motor !! (wich is around 180 gr !!)
Take a look at a Hacker C 40 S or similar !! (the shaft is 3.17mm too, but it is very excellent suited to a Car !! (any 10th one !!)
(Ah, the length of a C 50 L : 60.5 mm and a XL: 74.8 comp. to a 50mm from a 540 !!)
good luck, and have fun with the c40 S series it IS the best choice (or a Twist from Kontronik, but might be hard to find in the US
