This is a new thread for the schumacher bosscat. :D If anyon knows anything about this car or owns one, please post something here.
I need a new rear suspension arm for mine but if you search for one on the schumacher website there isn't one  . Does anyone know where to get them?
see pics of mine on my website (http://www.geocities.com/lozrrr)

It's a big blue button at the bottom of all the threads, called 'New thread'. In the vehicle forum, only threads about the cars themselves should be posted, not problems with the car :)

I used to race a Works edition of the Bosscat buggy.

It came with a carbon fibre chassis which was conductive to electricity, so you had to heatshrink the batteries.

It was a great buggy, and much faster than anything the other guys had, and the shocks on it were something special.
The piston "hole disc" was adjustable, it consisted of two plates and you could rotate them to change the number of holes in the disc.

One problem I did have was that I would consistantly wear out the rear drive belts and pulleys, they would only last two race weekends.

I bitterly regret the day I sold it, but parts were nearly impossible to come buy.

I raced it in the period 1994-1996 or thereabouts.

My only ever trophies was won with the Boss Cat Works, haven't won anything since :p

Well try contacting the UK schumacher company, and they should be able to help you with wishbones.

The car is slow, so you say, well have you checked the tension of the rear belt as that could be the reason. You have to have the holes in the same place on both sides.

I won a couple of events with it, but wasnt that impressed, but Ideal - I did a 24 hour event with a standard motor (Trinity green machine) and had the smallest spur and biggest pinion and the rear belt never snapped. I am guessing you got the tension wrong somewhere.

I also filed the battery slots fractionally so the cells sat in them better on the chassis but didnt use heat shrink. What you can do is use super glue on the edges as this does the same thing.

Its probably the last best 4wd car that schumacher made, and hardly ever broke due to the elasticated front section.

Just got myself a bosscat and I want to convert it to the buggy. The car looks very weird and I love how big the cvd's are. Talk about beefy.
