I JUST BOUGHT ONE E MACHINES PLANE AND A CANNED HEAT CAR.(sorry about the caps)i need to know how long i should make the antena or what the best length is to get the maximum range.i dont know what kinda plan im going to buld yet but im going to use a CR2 lithium battery and ive allready made my actuator (i explaned where i got them from the stepper motor i took apart but they were only 8.23 ohms. so i un wound it and used the wire from a small transformer(great for small wire and it also gives you a lot)the transformer is about 1/2 by 1/2 and the wire was .003 inches thick.these are very cheape at electronic stores(like .50 cents and you could probably make about ten of these actuators from one.

Mike:
There's not much science to my post, but I'll tell you what I've done. I usually cut the reciever antennae in half on my indoor models anyways, so I took about 10 inches of the wire from a HiTech Feather reciever and soldered it directly to the Canned heat Reciever. It definitely gives you enough range for a Gym or Skating Rink.
Hope this helps,
Jason

thanks for the help.i just thoght that since the reciever is AM that u needed a loop antenna or somthing like the one on the car.But i think i'll try some small motor wire to save some wieght.
Thanks Jason.

This is what the Canned Heat racecar has to do with microflight....
