Well

Today was the first day of the KWC 2004 in Dubai and it was held in a fabolous atmosphere the weahter was just right and the teams were practising on the newly done up track at the Dubai Creek Park. Which is one of the most amazing parks of Dubai featuring a Ice land , water park , Cable car, an Amusement centre for children and a wonderful beach. Well all the teams tried out there machines at the track, some of the best times being 24.68. Hobby Centre, Dubai is the Main Kyosho Dealer in Dubai and they are doing a good job taking care of the event along with the Kyosho Organisers, who are thorough professionals at what they do, really good stuff.. I was watching one of there team mechanics setting up the team cars and by the looks of it this guy can assemble a V one S 2 kit in like mins. !! really inspiring.

Members of the Dubai Team, are as follows....(atleast the ones I know)

Dubai-A

The final of the Kyosho cup was completed yesterday. 9th April 2004 at the beautiful Creek Side Park. The track is built at this wonderful park.
Details of the results on the link below.

http://www.kyosho.mylaps.com/

What I SAW and Experienced at this race was really amazing, the skillz of these drivers was really tremendous. These guys are real pro's. Thanks to Kyosho for all this great action that they brought to dubai, its good for the Dubai drivers to get some experience from all of this. Although they did quite well but couldnt make it to the final race. Overall it was a fab event and everyone had a great time. I got to see some amazing techinicians working against the clock and boys these guys were really fast. Not to forget the technician from the Japan team who was definately in his late 50's but his speed at fixings the v one s was unbeleivable, we can measure it by saying if you give him a kit he can finish it within 30-40 mins !! yeah ;)
The German team took the first place - then the singapore at 2nd and Hong kong A at 3rd
The Australian team got the best team colors.(uniform wise) German for the best car design. Dubai team got a special consolation prize.

The event was organised by Hobby Centre, Dubai dealers of Kyosho in the Middle East. Kyosho Sponsored the event in style, they also had a Mini - Z raffle for the spectators who came to see the event, 12 cars were to be given away, which included Monsters aswell. Surprisingly most of the prizes went to the organising staff who were distributing the tickets which were free on entry. !! lol I wonder how the staff managed to win !! ;)

All said and done the event was really nice and we would expect to have more events in Dubai.

Regards
Aziz
