any one put a fullsize bl motor in a mini-t, like a novac ss or the hacker for the emaxx, i have seen them w/ a full sized brushed motor befor and was just wondering

That'd probably be hell to fit in. That'd also be WAY too much power for the lil tiny tranny. Someone has put a 540 size motor in a 1/18 scale Xray though i believe.

A lehner basic motor would be cool to put in a minit... it's smaller and lighter than a normal 540 with tons of power... but it's still too big for a mini IMO....

What's the point of that? My Mini T with the HiMaxx 5400 motor on 11.1 volts has a max output of close to 100 watts which is 2x a 540 stock motor. :D But you can't do anything but go straight!

Only the beta models are out for testing. Production is going to be at end of April or something. I have one on order. Will tell you how it goes as soon as I can get my hands on one though.

"But you can't do anything but go straight!"

Exactly... not so much the power :D but the handling is terrible with a big motor hanging off the back of a poor little minit.

I do want as much power as possible out of a nice light setup though... :)

I'm waiting on the Mamba.. they will be releasing an even hotter motor now.... higher k/v for great speed on low cell setups.

I've heard rumors  . I have the mamba beta and can attest to how great it runs :D . I run it w/ a Razor micro-car motor, flawless running, great controller. My motor is 5850kv, but I think Castle Creations is comming out w/ slightly higher Kv motor, cool stuff, if it's as good as thier controller, I hang on for a few more weeks to grab that one  .....should be in prod right now and soon to be distributed and on sale :D

Yeah.. i have heard nothing but good things about Castle's controllers...

That's why I decided to just wait for their stuff.... for the esc, not the motor..

check the Hacker B 20 series, in germany it is often used in smaller cars, we run them with 7,4 V Lipos, no problems !!!
(power is WAYYYYY enough, these small cars cannot take more power !!, without getting uncontrolable ;-) )

or the Kontronik Fun 400 Series too, its a slightly bigger one, between a 480 and a 380 !!(but WITH huge BL power !!)

www.kontronik.com

(check the small "Smile" esc sries too, they should be easy to fit in those small cars !!)
