ok, so i bought it 6 years ago, it's a dumas hawk 3.5. in fact, i never even assembled it. but i've got some ideas. i talked to the guys at climate, and i'm going to use the sponsons from their firefighter .21. they are foam core and if they are anything like the ones on the blizzard, they will be super strong. my power will be in the form of a K&B .21. say what you may about K&B, but i like 'em. i will probably design/make my own engine mount, and hopefully i can make it the isolated type. the only problem now is the running hardware. they recommend marine specialties in the manual. i was thinking about buying just a strut and a rudder and building the brackets and other tid-bits myself. i like to tinker so it's no problem to do so. if anyone has any input for setting this puppy up, i'd sure love to hear it.

now that i am into building my hawk...i have determined that i will never buy another die-cut kit. from here on out it is laser cut or glass!! this die cut stuff stinks!
