Is it ok to put a aircooled engine in a Nitro Hammer? If I did I would make a scoop that would be about an 1" out of the top deck and totly suround the engine so that is is getting it's needed air?

Their are a few boats out there that run air cooled buggy engines. I don't remember any of them running with a hatch. The Enforcer Gator Jr is the main one that comes to mind.

Come to think of it that would work with the hatch on. You would have to do like you said with the air scoops, only thing is you would also have to add some vents or ports in the back so the hot air can exit the hull.

thats what I was thinking. I am going to get a Nitro Hammer in the summer and i will have a HPI .12R SS engine that i could put in it and get more power :)

I have a 1/12 Miss Bud and it has a max .15 cvr OS in it . I removed all the water cooling and it runs great with no heat problems.

On that Bud, did you enlarge the air holes in the front of the turbine air scoop? The more air you get, the better, since it is air cooled
