Hey guys, I'm on a mission "insert mission impossable theme here" because I choose to be:D

I have a dom hybrid. with a .21 force turbo. it's a wicked engine but I just can't seem to break anything. and I know the truck will handle 3hp without any problems. What I want to know is where can I get a thunder tiger .70 or .90 out of an ek4? I can't seem to find just the engines only parts for these trucks. As I want to get the .90 out of the ek4 s2 and put it into my dom hybrid and rename it "HAMMER OF THE GODS"

And hopefully break a buttload of things like other guys ego's with their superduper maxxie's.

So anyone have a line on where I can get either a .70 or .90 thundertiger ek4 engine?

thx.

If you put that motor in there, it will just be a wheelie machine. Oh yeah Jackyl, I got a 1/8 buggy now, still wanna come to Kansas and race me? :p ;)

yea, there's no place on the internet you can buy the ek4 engine without the truck itself.

Oh..yes there is. AutohausRC.com & eHobbies.com. Last time I looked, they were priced at $199.

Jackyl, I'm not going to say that it's a straight bolt-in, but, it's the next closest thing, tho, you will have to make motor mounts. This being done, it's just a matter of bolting everything up and you're good to go.

Actually it isn't that easy. the exhaust on the .70 is a side exhaust. and on a mp/dom chasis the rear brace is in the way I'm looking for the exhaust adapter I saw a pic of one but I can't seem to find them. I know where to get the engien and the mounts and the 2 spd :D But I need the exhaust adapter.

are you normal?? .70 with 2 speed, are you going to the moon?? If so just make some nice ramp :D

I have a large ramp. But that isn't the reason that I'm building this "or trying to built this" I started out with a tmaxx, I found the flaws and it was cheaper to sell it than to beef it up. Now I have a Dominator Hybrid. Awesome truck nothing flawed about! "other than the pro-line bulks move the tmaxx shock towers up 3/4" of an inch and you loose massisve ground clearance" but with a set of hybrid shock towers from Nova Rc that is fixed. Basically this is something that I want to work at slowly as the .21 hyper turbo that I have screems. and I can make it an 8 port with a sleeve swap. so it's not really a power issue it's a I wanna have an insane truck eventually!

And as for those of you that think this is just crazy. Let me show you what is crazy.

Thunder Tiger .70 in a T-maxx yeah. like the drivetrain can handle that. even if you stuck 300bucks in the diffs and 200 into the trans I still highly doubt it. But I would like to see it grenade itself the first time the throttle is opended up at a dead stop :D

1:8 Buggy chassis is a clever choice if you plan to use a .70 or .90 heli engine !

Here's another maxxas insanity !
I admit New Era makes sexy things but not engineering marvels : Vehicle design is hopefully not only a plain-metal-everywhere affair !

you start the first engine by pull start, second is started by first, and third is started by second, its just complicated way of starting ( he probably hate EZ-start :D)

I know I hate sleezy start. it's the low way to getting a simple job done.

just think about how hard it is to tune that thing.. like tuning one engine is not enough... must be a nitro maniac
