I just finished my project B-maxx( brushless maxx, better maxx, best maxx, whatever) .

It went through its first run a few minutes ago and damn!. My first thoughts were that it was simply awesome and fast. It also had incredible stadium truck like handling. Everything was fine until I realized I was still in first gear, I shifted to second and holy crap the thing flies!

Here is the parts list (all parts).

Chassis:
Bomb proof race bomb lexan chassis.
Custom lexan rear skid
Hardcore Ti front skid
Stock bumpers and mounts
RPM bulkhead braces
alum. antenna mount
custom transponder mount
RPM rims with pro-line mashers
Airbrushed body

Suspension:
Supermaxx widetrac suspension with towers
Integy blue reservior shocks
Stock plastic bulkheads
Titanium hingpins
Titanium turnbuckles with traxxas ends
Stock steering knuckles
Hardcore racing blue knuckle caps
Traxxas teflon coated pivot balls

Drivetrain:
Supermaxx 6 spider ultimate diffs
MIp shiny CVDs F and R
MIP cvds center with extended bone
Stock e-maxx tranny
Supermaxx idlers
Strobe slipper
aluminum drive hexes

Steering:
Pro-line BB servo saver/bellcrank
Hitec HS-5645 digital MG servo

Electronics
Hacker C50 maxx
Hacker master car competition
Airtronics MX-3
Racers edge NiMh flat receiver pack
a bunch of matched GP 3300's with deans

The thing is incredible. Well worth all the time and the money (maybe not so much the money), I love it. I can't wait to crush t-maxxs. Pics soon

All that, and stock bulkheads?

Well, if you don't smack curbs and the like with the truck, the stock bulks are fine. Lighter than alum too. I'd still be running plastic if I hadn't gotten such a good deal on my bulks.

Anyways, sick truck. You run a lot of the same stuff I run. Shocks, steering kit, steering servo, radio, bumpers, etc. Definately need to see pics of this thing. You can check out mine, it's got it's own thread in here (Monster Truck forum).

Better off with plastic towers and aluminum bulks. Stock bulks cant stand up to a heavy electric truck unfortunately

Stock bulks are fine. I would rather break a bulk (they usually just flex) than bend hingepins, arms, and bulks. I can get pics soon. I was giving throttle to the truck while holding it in the air, the tires balooned to double the size. When you hit the breaks you hear the air leaving the tires for a few seconds its pretty cool...

dude, once you start abusing it you'll be breaking bulks left and right.. and they dont flex, atleast not enough to keep them intact. I went through numerous bulks like this.. until i got aluminum ones.

and since you got a brushless setup, how's weight an issue?

Your going to need some al bulks. I had stock bulks on my e-maxx and have just gone to al because of stripped screw heads and twisiting. Also lateral and horizontal flex on the car is just too much with plastic at a integral part of the car. Also not to mention u have to take off about 20-30 screws to take off the front and rear screws and then put on them back on. Yea on my e-maxx my structure is relatively stiff while my arms/shocktowers/knuckles take the twisting.
