I have got to say. I am usually against aluminium on trucks (since the cost outwieghs the look/performance to me), BUT that is a NICE truck. Cant wait to see that thing with the BL motors in it and i like that chassis setup.
Loooks like you could use some rrp internal gears too. Those 40 series and BL motors will prob burn up gears.
Nice truck man-

Well Im getting a shulze 18.97KWF ESC and a Plettenberg Big Maxximum 1800watt motor running on 16 cells.
I got my charger today, Novak millenium pro, as well as some proline Dish rims and bow ties for racing.
I have Unlimited Engineering SM idlers, and 8 Spider Diffs, these are much better than the RRP equivilant. I believe my transmission can handle the power
As for Body Shells, I've got a Black/Chrome Hummer H2, Getting a Escalade with the Superman "S" logo, but with a K for my initial (Keith is my name) instead of the S.
For Racing I'll have a custom painted MAxx Crowd Pleazer
Thansk for the compliments

Dont get anything powerful, you'd tear up the MIP CVDs with that heavy truck. And I hope you don't plan to race it with that wimpy servo, seems odd to skimp on the most critical piece.
GA Maxx
04-16-2004, 07:46 AM
ok ill use an airtronics 200 oucne one, I've got one in my bit box i think
believe it or not my truck isnt that heavy compared to my rpm emaxx

ga maxx, that is truly a beutifull thing!!! Its almost beyond rc and aproching art!!! I'de love to see some video of it in action when it's up and running. talk about aftermarket support for a vehicle, you built that truck from almost all aftermarket parts right? it looks like the only thing stock from traxxas is the bumpermounts, wheel hexes, and diferential housings witch it looks like you changed to aluminum in some pic's. KILLER JOB MAN!!! And do post some videos please????????????????????????!!!!!!!!

i want to kill you and take your truck! lol nice looking truck bro! how much $$$ you got into it so far?
GA Maxx
04-16-2004, 12:58 PM
hi, Only stock oparts are wheel hexes and bumper mounts, oh and the main gears inside the tranny. So thats 3 Stock parts, waste of time me buying a emaxx in first place tbh. I've sold some bits on ebay The diffs are stock in some pictures then i ugraded to Ue supermaxx 8 spider differentials.
Will post some videos when the motor and esc are sorted.
As for prices, see http://www.savage-abuse.com/emaxx.htm

you have a 200 oz servo lying around in your toolbox? damn dude.. i got a 15 oz one :p
what if im racing, i would want the lightest material i could get, not a stupid idea.
it'll be helluva expensive and some parts (ie: bulks) wont take the stress.
EDIT: why do you think no one has an all fiber maxx?

04-16-2004, 06:39 PM
lol, I sold my aluminium savage .26 to pay for some of this :)

The tranny case has to be the worst upgrade ever IMO. But what ever floats your boat

yea, there's no point to it really... unless you are going for the show truck theme.

i could say it stiffens up the transmission, stops mis alligned which leads to poor meshing and premature wear, but i Wont, I got it cause the stock one looked pants whe ni had teh rest of the stuff

I did minus the a-arms and diffs. Weighed in at under 10 pounds, with 14 cells.

yeah i guess you wouldnt do the a-arms unless you some how fused two plates together and did that.

Bling bling. doesnt look like much on it is stock anymore
OptimaMan
04-17-2004, 01:41 AM
It's totally cool looking... My stock with 12 cells weighs like 11 pounds!! I bet I could bend those a-arms with the crashes I've been in though...

04-17-2004, 05:12 PM
just stick a cannon there and go to fight some tanks, i think itll survive anything, and it also looks great!! its just too cool to look at, and is it me or can you stick two steering servos there??
GA Maxx
04-17-2004, 06:43 PM
one is for the steering servo one is for the shirting.
I ordered a set of ultramaxxed gears today very rare, cost me 120 bux for 2 gears and the shifter but well worth it!
I'm getting a Plettenberg Big MAxximum 1800 Watt and Shulze 18.97KWF ESC on 16 cells :)

Since when is the tranny a main structual part of a truck? Its not under so much stress that it will disort and change the gear mesh.
May I ask, what do you do for a living?

May I ask, what do you do for a living?
I am a 17 year old kid working at a Food Superstore lol, get £550 a month. £100 of that goes on Broadband internet, mobile phone bill and rent. So that leaves £450, Id say £200 goes on Clothes (usually something like a pair of jeans and a T-shirt. about £150($210 ish) for jeans and about £50/$85 for a T-shirt) so that leaves £250 for R/C. I buy a bit each month and its got this far :)
However, i sold my savage and 1:8th nitro buggy which paid for most of it.
Bare in mind I am in UK, and Dollar/pund is really low at moment which has really helped.
found my next toy :D

lol forspeed runs I'll geta GPS system, but as long as I hit 40 and still have a useable truck ill be happy

I see the fan mount on one of the pictures, is there a place I can get that at, or does that come with the chassis or diff cases?
GA Maxx
04-19-2004, 09:33 AM
It came with the G_maxx chassis for $179, I dont thing its a fan mount just looks like one
lerningdriver
04-19-2004, 06:38 PM
it's a fan mount, the speed controller can get pretty hot.
and why do you need a gps system for speedruns??? gps stands for global positioning system, why will you want that?
GA Maxx
04-19-2004, 07:12 PM
thats what people use for speed runs, im unsure how it works but thats how its done
Has anyone got a pic of my chassis with a fan on, where would the es go then?
lerningdriver
04-19-2004, 07:31 PM
not really, to check speed you need something like this:
http://www.ehobbies.com/ven0615.html
I dont know where you got gps from.
GA Maxx
04-19-2004, 07:39 PM
no no no, You can use GPS to track speed trust me most people use it, i have the venom speedometre and its pants
lerningdriver
04-19-2004, 08:01 PM
do you have a link to that gps you are talking about?
GA Maxx
04-19-2004, 08:13 PM
any GPS does it most use a $90 Garmin one, just look everwhere, go into the brushless forum and you will see just how many peopel use GPS to calculate speed, i've no idea how it does it, but check out the brushless forum, you obviously dont believe me!
lerningdriver
04-19-2004, 09:02 PM
it just seems weird to me that you would put a global positioning system on your rc.. but i'll check out the brushless forums.
racinlosi
04-19-2004, 11:41 PM
Because sometimes somepeople use them in rails and buggies to see where they are at in the desert and it just shows the speed your going at. My grandpa got his to show 80 in the buggy in this huge wash at Ocitillo Wells. :D Just an added thing they have on them, and it's very acurate.
And do they sell the fan mount sepeatly(sp)? Or is buying the chassis the only way to get it?
shadmaster4
04-20-2004, 03:08 PM
One of the nice features off all GPS's is that it will tell how fast you are going, what direction, how long, etc.. They show a ton of info. Just attach one onto your car/truck and run it, and it will show its plot, the speed and the distance.
lerningdriver
04-20-2004, 06:00 PM
well GA maxx, i guess you are right. you could use the gps, but I still think it would be cheaper to go with the venum speed meter.
everyone are entitled to their epinions.
GA Maxx
04-20-2004, 06:53 PM
but the VSM isn't true, when calibarated perfectly its around 5mph off
The fan mount isn't avaliable speratly and it wouldn't fit a stock emaxx chassis anyway, this chassis is TOTTALLY Different to stock.

I ordered my Ultramaxxed gears on Saturday 17th April, and recieved my Ultramaxxed gears to the UK on Tuesday the 20th!! That came thousands of miles and postage was only $4.80
Seriously it would cost me more than that to get something from UK to UK in 2 Workign days, Dan you are AWESOME thanks!
heres some pictures. this completes the Transmission, The case and internal are worth $355USD lol!!!! The diffs are another $300 and CVDS are $130

what slipper clutch is that?
where did you get that blue aluminium gear cover? It wont fit mine, and blue would look crap, but i wasnt aware it was made
kitty
04-22-2004, 10:24 PM
I believe that is a Kippster Racing (http://www.kippster-racing.com/) clutch. =)
Chase023
04-23-2004, 05:46 PM
Yes it is a Kippster Racing Spur gear center but I had mine custom made for my personal use from the specifications of the Kippster one. I had two made one for 72T and one for 65T spur gears. Mine is made of 7076 T6 aluminum.
Also the gear cover is a custom made one. Blue looks very sweet when its on the gearbox and all assembled. You haven't seen whats really sweet with the blue cover.
All that silver looks a bit plain to me..a little color here and there is much better and yes I like blue..
Do you think my TXT-1 would look better with a silver TXT-1 gearbox? I don't think so. The accents of blue makes it better than all silver.

Chase, do you do any crawling with it? That is one fine looking truck! Lots of $$ into that one, I'm sure. I even like the Hummer body. I hate those and I'm not big on flames, but yours looks nice. Okay, so they aren't actually flames, but flame-like and I do like them. =)

Kitty, this will be used for rockcrawling but I am still waiting on a custom battery tray being made.. I do have a custom electronics tray. Once I get the battery tray, I will go take some action pics of it later.
Hey GA Maxx what brushless motor will you be running on your sweet E-Maxx?
Have you seen Candyman's Bling E-Maxx he posted somewhere??
I hope to upgrade my Stock E-Maxx later on after my Juggy project.

MY E-MAXX IS ON ORDER-SO HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!! it is going to be my first truck ever!!! dude that txt blinded me. very very nice i like aluminum but i also like carbon fiber, thats the type of tachometer i have in my s-10, i mean its backed with carbon fiber, looks very nice. thats what all my money is going into right now is my truck, i have air bag suspension so far.
Chase023
04-27-2004, 04:45 AM
Sweet.. Let us know when you get your E-Maxx.
I got an E-Maxx even tho I am a solid axle fan.
I will probably upgrade that later on. Candyman's E-Maxx got me inspired to mod mine. I already know everything that will go on it but I will buy it slowly for it will cost a heft sum!
Funny thing is I probably won't even use any parts from the Stock one.
Carbon Fiber is sweet.. I am gonna get me a Thundertech Ripper or a Tremor Clod later on when I am done with my projects and such.
