You could put tape on the holes in your rim and reglue the tires, making sure theres no holes where water could get in.

dont do that, that will keep your tyre from getting any air which will decrease your performance. take a thin net and glue a piece on there.
but how do you get water inside if the tyre is sealed?

That happened to me too, I bought some jumbo swampers off ebay and when I got them I noticed a very bitter smell. After a week of gagging every time I got around my truck I did the No No of all No No's , I took the wheel off sqeezed it and it was all I could do not to vomite. I removed the tires from the wheel and found the inserts were a grayish color with cool red and blue and a little green and yellow spots and streaks running threw it. If anyone has ever worked around sewer then you have seen what Im talking about. The previous owner had ran his truck through a sewer and couldnt get the inserts clean so they sold the tires........ too me. YUCK!

yeah, i dont normal seal the tyres, and i dont know how water got in when it was air tight!! - but it did :(
- and, like you say, mine stink (but i dont think as bad) and there are a few blue streaks, and a darker layer where the rubber as stained it :(

Put two small holes in the tread of each tire to let the water and dirt out, and plug the holes in the wheels. That'll allow the tires/foams to "breathe", but nothing can build up inside since centrifugal force will push anything out through the holes.
I used a small bit in a Dremel to do mine, worked great.

if air can get in it, water can get in it.
why drive in the water though?

Take an exacto knife , put 4 slits about 1/4 inch long in 4 spots in the middle of the tread , take a peice of 3/16 " threaded rod and two hex nuts , put the wheel on that like an axle then stick it in a drill and spin all the water out of the tire .

i ran my truck through some water about a month ago and the other day i took my tires off to put them on new rims. and guess what........they were still wet and smelled horrible. i just used a blow dryer before i put my tires on the new rims. the only downside to the blow dryer is you have to take your tires off and that isnt easy when there glued

Thin net? water can get through that easily. You have to sacrafice one for the other (performence and being watertight).

- yeah, lol, only just spoted that!!
Its not even a sacrifice, because, performance of a wet tyre wet is so very bad!!
- worse, by miles, than performance od a airtight tyre:p
- thin net works to keep dust/rubbish out, but not water!

how are you getting water inside there? I've ran all my trucks in the wet, even whilst its been raining(ok with electris MT's its prolly not the best idea but it is fun....:))
thing is normally to get water in there the tyres would have to compress under load and decompress whilst water is in the rim - so its pretty hard to get water in there unless you jump it into a lake......of course if theyre not glued on well in the first place.......
however I did get some used clod tyres a while back and they were dry on the outside and wet, muddy and smelly on the inside.....oddly one was totally glued but only on one side the other was not glued at all....
if you plan on wet running alot it might be worth getting a set of tyres to keep not glued to the rims and with no foams - that way you can take the tyres off after running - if they are hard tyres like stock clods, or even better juggernaut tyres then you wont have any probs with lack of support from not running foams(and dont say you'll have less grip, cuz its not like water grips very well anyways....)
;)
