Hello...
I have submitted questions on other forums in regards to my 1/12 Miss Bud. I would like to ask the same questions here to get help. After buying my Miss Bud this past weekend...When I put it in the water...It seems to cavitate quite a bit with a high rpm. At times the rpm's drop and then it takes off...After about 30 feet, the rpm's rise and the boat slows. I have been told the following...Launch the boat at 1/2 throttle or better and throw it in the water...Don't set it in at idle then floor it. There is a leak in the fuel system, and air is getting in some how.

Do any of these make sense...Please advise.

Thanks, Jim

Yeah, first pitch that plastic prop & get an Octura Y535. Check for a kinked fuel line coming out of the fuel tank, check for loose driveline, check for carb fitting tight, check to make sure your motor is broken in properly....

The don't just drop it and floor it is right, also. I have seen very few hydros that haven't needed a throw launch over the years. Check everything Bugfanatic listed and replace the prop. You are probably getting prop flex, causing the cavitation problem, and it sounds like you have a fuel flow or needle problem. One thing you have to remember is that this is a production line boat. Not everything is perfect coming off the line. Parts like the prop are there to save the manufacturer money :(

there could be a leak in your fuel tubing, replace it all, i sounds like there is a leak in your exhaust pressure line, or it is the improper length (if you replaced it).
