I don't really understand. If you mean that it pulls to the left or right, adjust your steering trim. Please explain a little more.

MaxxGT, it's a Savage thang. ;)

Savage04, so many possibilities here. Need more info.

Hold the truck off the ground and turn the spur gear and look to see if the rear center dog bone is turning. If it isn't, then likely the pin in the drive cup coming out of the transmission came out. If it spins, but the rear wheels don't turn, check the drive cup that goes into the rear gear box to see if the pin is missing there.

Hold the rear end of the truck off the ground and turn one wheel. Does the opposite wheel turn in the opposite direction or the same direction? If you can turn one rear wheel and the other one turns in the same direction, it's likely the differential.

Check the rear wheel nuts to be sure that they didn't back off or that the wheel hexes stripped out.

Do you do any jumping and if so, do you have a habit of landing the truck with the throttle on? If you do, then it's likely that either the ring gear and/or pinion gear in the rear gearbox is toast.

Always, the best way to diagnose what is wrong is to start by giving everything a close look.

forgive me for asking a funny question ,but do you have to peddle the throttle and break to keep the truck from landing out of shape upond landings?

so i guess you let go of the throttle when it touches the ground so not to break anything.

thanx for clairafying this ,as you might know am a newcommer to nitro trucks...

You use throttle and brake while in mid-air to control the truck. The point of easing off the throttle before landing is like this: suppose you have the truck running at high throttle while holding it and drop it on the ground. The shock to the drivetrain has to go somewhere. That's what the slipper is for, though the diffs are the first major components in the drivetrain to take the hit. Thus, when landing a big jump at high throttle, the ring gear and pinion are put under heavy stress. It's best to "feather" the throttle, as landing with the brakes on can be just as bad as landing at wide open throttle.

To me, doing big jumps and landing them well is a learned art. You have to tap the throttle if it noses down, tap the brakes if it goes nose-up, yet still land with just the right amount of throttle to match the speed the truck is going. Thankfully I learned a lot jumping my hopped-up E-Pede, though the Savage takes more skill due to it being so much heavier. I'm still learning =)

so in other words,i better get me some extra gears when i purchase my truck(didnt decide wich one yet )
I PLAN ON DOING LOTS OF JUMPING WITH IT, he !he !
