dispose of your servo saver, and get the ofna monster pirate servo saver. it is a bellcrank style of saver, and is far superior to the hpi setup. then you use a rigid link between it and the servo. this is a simple mod that will make your truck MUCH better. also, you should pick up the ofna "clutch bell shim kit," cause you'll need a few shims to make it totally slop-free. another thing to remember is that hitec uses a different spline count that futaba (hpi).

Three teeth. Sorry, couldn't resist.
The 15t bell will give you more low end grunt, while the 18t will give more top end, usually at the expense of the slipper or clutch shoes. The 18t comes in handy if you ever switch to a more powerful engine like the Wasp.
In a pinch, you can get by with using a Kimbrough #124 servo saver, especially if your LHS has one and you really can't wait to get back on the dirt before ordering the MP saver for the mod. The problem you're having right now is that the splines are different sizes. It just needs an adapter, so if you get the Kimbrough #124, it'll come with three adapters (Futaba, Hitec and Airtronics). If you look *real* closely at the "bottom" of the adapters or on the parts tree they're attached to, you'll see one with a H on it. That's the one you need for that servo.
