i modified a y534 for my nitro hammer. last week i could spin the prop at full rpm's. today the engine wouldn't push it at all. when i first tried the prop out, it would flip the boat, so i decided to try it again and play with the trim. but now i can't spin it. what the heck is going on here? by the way, i've still got enough power to spin the crap out of the stock prop.

What is the problem? Is the drive train binding, is it hitting on something, or does the engine just not have enough torque?

You say you modified a Y534, in what way? Did you cup it? Did you cut it down? I think we all need more info to help you on this one

it's cut, a lot! i brought it down slightly smaller than a stock hammer prop. when i first tried the prop out, it turned my boat into a ballistic missle. if you know anything about the other mods to the boat, it's already a handful to drive. with this prop the boat wanted to flip. so i took it off, then i decided to try it again, and couldn't push it. and then, i realized that i had a massive brain fart...cuz i should have realized that i was using fuel with a lower nitro content then what i usually use. so i think i just answered my own stupid question!

I happy to hear that you figured out the problem. When changing props, sometimes youhave to re-adjust the needle too, richer for a larger one, the opposite for a smaller prop.
For different percentages of Nitro, richer for higher and leaner for lower.
