Lotza luck! The batteries would take up a lot of space that the boat doesn't have. converting the motor from Nitro to Electric would be the easy part. Don't forget that a lot of water gets in the hull which would be a BIG problem.

Yes, lots of water. I swear if I could run the thing upside-down it would be dryer inside.

If you want an electric, you might be better off building your own in 1/10 scale. There is a club here in western Washington that races 1/10 scale electrics. They use Astro 25s and up to 14 cells(if I remember right), and still do better than 30 mph. If you want more info, go to e-rcu.org. That would scale out a turbine Bud at 35.4 inches, almost 8 inches longer than the Pro Boat Bud :) You can also get plans to build boats from newtonmarine.com :) Just a thought, if you don't mind building :D

I saw a guy who converted it to a 12 cell with a hacker motor. It looked trick! As far as the water just run an auto bailer.

Did it still float when not running? Those boats can't carry a lot of weight
