Either too lean or a bad glow plug will do this. Most likely it's a bad plug.

my miss did the same thing....the stock glow plug was causing all kinds of trouble!!!!! Go with some of the those OS plugs...

Check you needle settings as well....

Thanks Ron, I just learned something new. I've never had a lean condition do that to me, I thought it sounded like it was too rich. Who knew?

While at a boat race today, I learned something about glowplugs too. Running too lean tends to destroy plugs by sucking the coil right out of the plug. I was watching a friend with his boat, which would run for a while and would just die. Everyone around thought he was just running too lean. Come to find out, his tank pickup tube had cracked. The result was he would run out of fuel, destroying the plug! Just something else to watch for with the nitro boats.

Oh yeah, running too lean is usually the cause of frying the plug right behind too much amperage going to it while starting. I've fried a LOT of plugs because of having the dial too high on my power panel.

Dave, if you want to run this week, I'm off on vacation. Don't forget the Fun Run on June 13th. We have some other Miss Buttwipers showing up.

I can't this week, I'll be here at work putting in some long hours & this weekend is the wife's birthday. I'll see what I can do.
