2 questions:
Will an unsharpened prop cause cavitation? or a prop that is not very sharp?
My gas oil mix is supposed to 2 oz oil to 1 gallon gas. I hear adding extra oil provides better protection as well as increases compression for better performance. Is there any truth to this?
Thanks for the help

2 oz to the gallon ????????????
Run at least 4 oz in those engines. Even then I'm running 7-8oz.
Dag, you've got to have more oil or you're going to be buying some parts.
Yes, unsharpened props cause cavitation but to an extent. During what part of the run is it doing this?
I'm pretty sure it says 2oz to a gallon. Oh well I guess I'll add more! But does that help increase performance any?
The prop seems to cavitate slighty during accelaration. Also where can I buy polished balanced props online at a decant price? I keep hearing about the prop shop but can't seem to find them!

www.offshoreelectrics.com has props. Mostly small sizes for electric, but they can special order any octura prop for no additional cost. If you are willing to pay extra, they will also balance them for you. ($25-35 total price for prop and balancing for small props, maybe slightly more for big props) Also, if you want more info, then PM Steven Vaccaro (the owner of OE). Good luck with your boat :D

Dag, I'll make the same deal I did with Lovin' Nitro...
I've got a few new props in my box that are balanced, sharpened & polished.
P275 Stainless steel
P280 " "
I don't like the copper props too much but if you send me a new/untouched SS prop, I'll send you one of these.
No $'s involved, you pay shipping to me and I'll pay it to you.
One time deal.
Running a good mixture of oil will only increase the life of your engine and yes, it should help it perform better but I doubt it will be anything noticeable.
Email me through the site if you want to swap.
That sounds good DD
I was thinking about the P280.
What prop would you want in return, and I have to see if I can get it. My LHS carries octura and prather but may not have the one you want.

Whatever I send you, I want the same.
You get a P280 Stainless.... I want a P280 Stainless. Too easy.
I'm in no rush, just offering a little assistance and the prop is ready. You've seen the photo's on a few threads.
:)
sounds like an awesome deal!!!
I stop at my LHS as soon as I can to see if its in stock. I'll keep you posted!
Thanks a bunch

All I ask is that you don't sell it. If its still in good running shape, you give me first chance to get it back.
sure thing!!
I was able to get a 280 SS. I'll e-mail you for the details as to where to send it to ya.
By the way, why do you prefer the stainless over the copper? Just wondering
Double Dog,
Still want to trade? I e-mailed you twice, not sure if you got them. Please let me know
