i don't know why i didn't bring this up before...but i need to ask. on a 24" outrigger, about where should the CG be? i'm still waiting on a few parts, so it's about a week or so til i can run it. so i figured i'd ask before i threw it in the water and tried to run it all out of trim.

If I remember right , just behind the sponsom transoms. More importantly, however, is what the propweight should be. I'm not sure about outriggers, but on scale hydros, if you balance the boat on the aft end of the sponson, you should have approx. 1.3 to 1.7 lbs of weight on the prop. Hope this gives you someplace to start :)

The cg is about 1 1/4" to 1 3/4' behind sponson ; move batteries about 1/8' at a time. Start at 1 1/4" till you reach the 1 3/4". if it doesn't jive; move something else. The best way would be to lay everything in rigger loose till you can achieve those figures or close. Been there, done that with a yellow jacket!
