The best hobby shop in the Raleigh area would be Hobby Masters on Creedmoor. There's also Hungates, but they have mostly rtr kits and no parts.

I've tried several... Hobby masters is still the best. I get fuel and odds and ends from there, but I mostly order my stuff off tower or a website I mod at.

There's also a newer shop over in Apex, on US 64, across from Apex HS. Nice folks there, but the inventory is still being built up. They deal mostly with RC planes, but also have a good parts selection for Savage and Maxx. Got some losi parts and mini-t stuff as well.

I was there about 6 months ago, but they didnt have much. I'll be sure to check that out for the savage parts, I havnt found a place that really deals parts for it.

I have to agree with wolfpacker, I really like the guys at Hobby Masters. They can order you anything. Plus, they offer assistance to people that buy kits there. Really nice. The only thing that bothers me now is that Tim doesn't seem to work there anymore. He was good. Nice as hell and gave good advice (didn't try to push expensive crap on you like Hobbytown USA or the online places).

I would like to visit the Apex store, do you have a name or website for the store??

The shop is in the Laura Village Shopping Center on Laura Duncan Road next to the Kroger (1204 Laura Village Drive: Phone 303-8388). The shop is small, but they will order anything you need! Call in advance to see if they have parts in stock. Have to agree though, HobbyMasters is the best. Eric and the crew will take care of you. Phone 870-1121.

drive down to Fayetteville and see Alan Hayes at Hayes Hobby. I live just south of Clayton and can't stand going to any of the other named places, just to find out they don't have what I need. Like Voodoo said, if you need fuel or some other generic stuff, the Raleigh stores may have it. Alan has racks full of stuff and has been in business for over 15 years and knows everything about everything. It's well worth the drive.

Hey you all. I have a couple of Nitro sedans available..one sale and one trade. My RS4-3 is up for trade. It has the Nitro-Star 15FE, a two-speed, Paris Picco pipe and HPI's after-market heat sink head. Comes with a brand new set of foams (still in box) nitro fuel (maybe a quart), fuel bottle, a D-Cell Hot Shot rechargeable glow starter, radio system, extra engine parts and a Chrysler 300M body. I'd like to trade for a good electric touring car and accessories. The other (for sale) is my son's non pull-start Factory Team TC3 with radio system, an OS-12R and a Porsche 911T body. The tires on this car are pretty worn, but the rest of the car is almost new. Spread the word! If anyone's interested, have them contact me here.
