hello. I am having trouble getting my futaba 6yg tx to work with my gws pico reciever. The problem I am running into is that the reciever says that channel 4 is for the battery and speed control, but on the tx channel three is used for throttle control. I have hooked up the speed control and battery to channel three and it supplies power to the servos and the motor. When I run the motor it acts real twitchy and is not running properly. I don't want to melt down my rx please help.

Hi,
Channel three should be the proper place to plug the ESC into the receiver. My R4P shows channel four to be shared with rudder and the battery if you are not using an ESC with the BEC circuit. The twitchy motor operation sounds more like a battery or ESC issue, the receiver and servos are running from a regulator in the ESC that supplies a constant 5 volts as long as the battery stays above that value.
Another way to check things if you have a regular 4.8 volt receiver battery is to plug a servo into channel three and the battery into channel four. If the servo runs smoothly from the throttle stick, this clears the transmitter and receiver of any foolishness. I hope this is some help.
