Turbines?

I dont know if this is the place or not to talk about Turbines. But, can anyone lead me to the Turbine that spins the highest RPM?

Turbines aren't usually rated by RPM. They are rated by pounds of generated thrust. Are you planning to put this in an airplane, or something else? As you are in Florida, I would recommend contacting Bob Violett Models at www.bvmjets.com. They specialize in jet models using turbine engines. The phone number I found was 407-327-6333. I was planning on doing a Turbine powered RC CAR for the high-speed contest that RC CAR ACTION is holding. I know tons of people who have Decades of experince in full size Turbine/Turbo Prop experience. Maybe do like a turbo prop set up that turns a Fully Custom Gear Reduction/Transmission? I don't know.

What are we talking about as far as Price? I've heard quotes from $3k-$7k but I'm not sure..

Those figures sound like you're in the ballpark. I can tell you that someone is working on a turbine heli engine. I don't remember who or how big it is. BVM may have more info :)

What is the best company as far as Quality and Durability. Also, a buddy of mine who is well into RC Airplanes said that you'll have to replace the blades like every 5 runs?
