What is your opinion of this Motor, or just the Graupner brand in gereral??? Also, what would be an engine of equal or better power with the same or less weight? Thanks in advance!

You're still thinking about that T.M. Scout aren't you... http://www.rcmicroflight.com/ubb/smile.gif

The 280, in my opinion, has a slight power advantage over a standard Lite Stick motor (GWS - DX A). However, it is much heavier and draws a lot more current. Us Dallas/Fort Worth guys have been doing this for a while now, and when you look at the 50+ planes that are flown each week, I'd say 90% of them are powered with the GWS DXA. You still see a few 280's and 1 or 2 of the expensive "over-seas" brands, but the GTWS motors are preferred. We have even flown Speed 400 outdoor models indoors with the GWS motors (Wingo flown by Gary Jones for example).

Other than that, Graupner is a great company producing some fine motors, but for indoor flight, I prefer GWS.
