on the impba web site the record appears to be 64.212 mph. that's with leecraft hull and a nova rossi powerhead. that record was set in 1995! must be a tough one to beat.

It's not an easy record to beat but then again, none of them are! I was over at the Flint, Michigan Record Trials last Saturday watching Bob Kensill trying to break it. He has a Leecraft, in fact the one that does currently hold the record, formerly owned by the owner of B&M Leecraft. He blew up a MAC motor trying without luck to do it. The hull was modified to run in a straight line only, not too good in the corners or for running slow either. He showed me the underside of the hull, a trick or two there also.
KG4, you ought to come down in the Fall to watch the Record Trials yourself, maybe you will see a new record being set!
