Sooo....I got a bug up my rear for a new boat. This is what I ended up with as an impulse buy. What do you guys think? Can you see any glaring issues right off the bat? Let me know. I could use all the feedback I can get!!! Thanks!

Here it is:

is it just the angle of the picture or is the strut bracket bent to the left.

Let's hope it is just the angle. He didn't have a whole lot of great shots of the boat.

looks like there might be some problems with air flow into the carb also it looks really close to the hull is there any way to set it closer to the motor. but all in all for 350 bux it doesnt look like a bad boat at all. little work and some polish it will be a runner.

With out knowing any more than what is listed, its got to be better than a Miss Bud.

My concern is that the tuned pipe is so high up it can effect the boats balance in a turn. I would lower the pipe as far as possible. It might be advisable to add some sort of heat shield between the pipe and radio box as well

Haha...I'm pretty much counting on it being better than Miss Bud. :) As for the ted exhaust, what is the deal with that? I see some boats with the exhaust poking out the top like that and some that have another fibreglass top cover and no exhaust. Why the difference? Should I maybe look for a tuned exhaust with a curved end to it to lower it some?

the exhaust system is fine is got a rubber coupler, so all you would have to do is take that long bracket that he has got between the exhaust tip and the strut bracket and cut about 1 to 1 and 1/2 inches off of it and re drill a hole for the clamp and thats it. he probably did that so he could access the radio box without haveing to move the exhaust pipe out of the way. all you want to do is just have the exhaust level with the 90 degree elbow header thats on the motor maybe a few millimeters higher but not as high as it is now. the exhaust the way it is now will cause the boat to roll to the left side more than to the right in turns and could possibly let water in the hull when making left hand turns. the mono hull is like a see saw you want every thing as low as possible to keep it balanced
