My Brother Wants To Get A Truck And He Does Know Which One To Get I Told Him To Get A Nitro Sport Se But He Wants Something Faster Than My T Maxx But He Likes To Smash Stuff. He Wants To Get A Rustler. This Will Be His First Real Rc(20 Dollar Wal Mart Toys Don`t Count) So I Don`t Think He Should Get A Trx 2.5.

I've heard good and bad about that 2.5. You could always put a carb restrictor to kill some of the power off until he gets used to it. Or you could limit the throttle travel (either by rubber-bands around the transmitter handle or by using the throttle EPA on a decent-quality radio). If he wants to go REALLY fast, drop in a big-block in a stadium truck.
As far as the truck itself. I see no problem with a rustler. Not the best truck out there, but decent for the price. Especially if he's just bashing it. If you are more serious (aka racing) and have some money to spend, I would definitely recommend the Associated GT. I have the Associated T3 (electric version) and I love it. Or you could get the HPI MT2, which is a four-wheel-drive stadium truck.

i have a rustler...if he is going to be jumping it a lot then do NOT get it. i am now trying to sell it because it broke so much for me. the trx 2.5 wasn't that bad for me as it made good power, it would just shut of every 5 minutes :(

That's probably because you ran it too lean and over-heated it constantly. Here, give this a read and try re-tuning it: http://members.optusnet.com.au/~savage_newbie/super_engine_tuning.htm
If you tune it right, she'll never shut off on you.
